Design can be defined as two things; the process, and the resulting artefacts. Our frameworks (Pioneer; Navigator) provide an insight into our processes; how we develop projects, and the top level elements we take into consideration. Providing a transparent view of our approach.

Importance of Research

Research is always an important up front tool; it generates an effective platform for ideation and assists to identify critical risks before a project is committed to. It is not just science projects that need research, accurately understanding your customers needs and requirements and integrating these into the development process has a profound impact on what you develop. Spending time to develop effective specifications for a development project is essential to creating a commercially compelling result.

Managing Risk

You know developing new product & services involves risk. Unlike the purchase of capital equipment, which can be sold, in many cases the sole outcome of a development is the intellectual property. This IP may only have a tangible value once the project has been successfully commercialised. Our approach to Research & Development is systematic and structured to proactively identify risk in your projects and manage it out of the process where possible, and minimise it where it not.
